| Our Services | O2 Marine undertook all required studies to support environmental approval for a 1M m3 capital dredging and onshore disposal project in Onslow, WA. The project was undertaken to enable expansion of the existing Onslow Marine Support Base in Beadon Creek. Specialist studies included, coastal processes, marine benthic habitat mapping, benthic habitat loss assessment, sediment quality investigation, marine fauna desktop study, stakeholder consultation, terrestrial flora and fauna investigations. |
| Outcome | Technical studies and approvals were completed in 2017 and the project was assessed by the EPA with Ministerial Approval granted in April 2018. The approvals for this Project were completed in record time and OMSB was commended by the WA Environmental Protection Authority for using the latest scientific information to inform the environmental impact assessment. Subsequently, O2 Marine was engaged as the proponents environmental representative to implement the environmental monitoring and management for the dredging project. |
