About the Project | Our Services
O2Marine was engaged with Teal Solutions to undertake all marine studies to inform environmental impact assessment for the Port Hedland Spoilbank Marina. Our studies for the Port Hedland Spoilbank Marina project included benthic habitat surveys, sediment sampling, bathymetry surveys, water quality baseline, Metocean baseline, marine fauna investigations, underwater noise modelling, and management plans. We also prepared the required EIA documents to obtain environmental approval for the project. O2 Marine was also responsible for drafting the required EIA documents to obtain environmental approval for the project. Outcome The project was classified Not-Assessed (Advice Given). The EPA considered that if the proposal was implemented consistently with referral information, it will result in environmental effects that are not so significant to warrant formal assessment under Part IV of the EP Act.
